Rod Stewart will be stepping into the spotlight in Dubai in May.

Rod Stewart will take to the stage of 7he Sevens on May 7th for a one-off concert, which will be his first live show in the emirate.

People who love the music of the 80s should also note that Spandau Ballet will be putting in a guest appearance before the man himself picks up the mic.

Doors to the stadium, which is located on the corner of Jebel Ali-Lahbab Road and Dubai-Al Ain Road, will open at 16:00 (local time), with the performances due to start at 19:00.

General admission for the show starts from AED 350 (GBP62.67), with special golden circle tickets on offer from AED 750.

Rod Stewart is best known for hit songs such as Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? and Maggie May.

He recently released his latest album, Soulbook, which is a selection of 60s and 70s soul-era classics, including Tracks of My Tears, Love Train and Just My Imagination.

Anyone going to the concert in May could be lucky enough to hear him sing a rendition of one of these well-known tunes during the show.
