Pamela J. McDaniel to be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Pamela J. McDaniel has made her career in providing production design and art direction services to the advertising, television, and motion picture industries.
SAN DIEGO, CA, May 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pamela J. McDaniel, Owner and Founder of Positive Exposures, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of business management.
Pamela J. McDaniel has over 30 years of professional experience in Art and Design. She has made her career in providing production design and art direction services to the advertising, television, and motion picture industries.
Initially, at age 18, Ms. McDaniel obtained her first Associate Degree in Applied Science and Cosmetology Design License in Colorado. She received her second Cosmetology License in California where she also obtained her Provisional Instructor's License by age 22. She instructed for a well known Bay Area Design Academy, for modeling centers (John Casablancas' Elite Agency, John Robert Powers Agency) and later for the San Diego Makeup Institute. She served as Educator and Specialist for Mastey of Paris and L'Oreal Professional Salon Division.
While in San Francisco, Pamela became involved in the video and film industry when a friend asked her to work on something "new" called a music video! Since then, she has developed her passion for the industry. She attributes her success to her patience, perseverance and willingness to take on new challenges. Over the years, McDaniel has taken-on several positions including Floor Direction, Video Editor, Copy Writer, Prop Master, Set Dresser and Set Design, as well as overseeing the Hair and Makeup Design Crew on various award winning Indie Films. Her work has been in the public eye nationally and internationally. Her last film garnered awards at Film Festivals in Toronto, Ontario, San Francisco and Los Angeles and at the Sundance International Film Festival for the Indigenous Film category. Her recent work includes ESPN and NHL Stanley Cup Playoff spots.
Ms. McDaniel is an active member of the community. She served for the Naval Officers Wives Club and as an Ombudsman for two U.S. Navy vessels. She has worked closely with the Mira Mesa Women's Club, and is a member of the American Screenwriters Guild. She has founded two non-profit organizations, and is currently serving as Co-Founder and Vice President of the Miramar Arts Association.
